Last Supper – Short Film
Role: Scenic Designer
Skills: Scenic Design • 3D modeling • Prop Design • Sketching • Team Management
Last Supper is a short film written and directed by Sogol Gholami. I designed the set, inspired by the main character’s work as a painter. The film has an uneasy atmosphere, so I aimed to make every location look like a painting that also feels unsettling. I used patterned walls, minimal furniture, and cold colors to create this mood. Even the yellow shades in the design have a cold feeling.
We had to use the accessories available at the location, so I sometimes changed the details of my design to fit. My main goal was to give the film a strange, painting-like look.
Challenges
I remotely handled the scenic design for several locations over a 20-day period. Despite working entirely off-site, I maintained close contact with the director and my assistant to ensure smooth execution. Each scene was 3D modeled based on the actual locations, allowing my assistant to accurately position props and apply the correct colors and textures to the walls.
