I'm Kimia Edrissi, a person who tends to look at life as a game. Sometimes it has levels, other times it’s like a board game, or a mystery solved by finding clues. In the past few years, I have been going through different games and now I see each of those were part of a treasure map I was following, a map, leading me to my true passion.

From an early age I was fascinated by art, which was partly influenced by my mother. (Who perused art herself.) As the years went by, I got more precise about my path in life, I wanted to be an artist. A key part of my journey was choosing scenic design as my collage major. The combination of my interests in entertainment and fine arts, made this major sound like something I wanted to be a part of. I love entertainment, storytelling, visual art and a limitless space to explore my imagination. As I went further, I found the beautiful and limitless world of animation.

I have worked on two animation projects: “Don’t touch!” and “Meraki.” In both projects, I was the head of Visual Dev. and 3D generalist. I was also the scenic designer of few short live-actions. I collaborated closely with small teams, often learning new techniques and solving problems as we went. I embraced the challenge of creating 2.5D animation, a hybrid of 2D and 3D techniques. I like to be on the edge of technology and almost always out of my comfort zone. Seeking new challenges, growth and (if I get lucky) creating artworks which can touch souls and blow minds and maybe add something new to this world!
