"Don't Touch!" is an animated short film written and directed by Mostafa Tajik, currently in production. I am the Head of Visual Development. Working alongside Hamid Reza Fakhri, we began by designing concept art inspired by the script. Afterward, I modeled the entire environment in 3D, aiming for a 2D visual style while minimizing the need for overpainting. For the test shots, after rendering, I overpainted two keyframes and used them with Ebsynth. This project has been an incredible collaborative experience, and I look forward to sharing the completed film soon.
Challenges
Learning Blender for Don't Touch! was one of the hardest parts of the project since it was completely new to me. My aim was to create a 2D look in a 3D workspace, which helped make the production process smoother and the visuals better. I also designed and modeled all the visuals, and figuring out how to do this was a fun challenge.
Another big difficulty came when the script was rewritten halfway through production. This meant I had to redesign and model several environments from scratch to match the new story. Even with these challenges, working on the project was a very rewarding experience.
