Antique Shop – Test Background for Beyond This Side 3

This is a test background created for the game Beyond This Side 3 by Glim Games. The scene features an antique shop where the main character is meant to purchase a camera. While I had to follow a specific layout, I was responsible for designing and 3D modeling the entire scene in Blender. To enhance the hand-drawn, dreamy aesthetic, I overpainted the scene in Procreate, giving it a 2D feel.
Challenges
Challenges included working with distinct foreground, midground, and background elements, which was a new approach for me. Balancing the level of detail within a short timeframe while ensuring consistency with previous backgrounds was another challenge. Creating a cohesive hand-drawn appearance across the entire scene also required careful attention to detail.
